I’ve always had an intense relationship with words.  From a young age I found solace and delight in words and I devoured them. I relish well-written …well, pretty much everything well-written.  I love reading, and I think the world is beautiful, astonishing, confounding and marvellous, and so are people.  I love people-watching and listening to them make sounds, form sentences, use accents  and dialogue and slang, and communicate volumes in body language. People make me laugh, and feel despairing, and angry, grief-stricken, and cross.  They also make me feel wonderful and grateful and alive. I’m fascinated by the things we humans do and say and write, the way we create, destroy and record what we do.
